Estate & Succession Planning

Estate Planning goes beyond making a Will.  It is important to consider all the assets you benefit from. These may include assets that are held in family or discretionary trusts as well as family businesses, private companies or as part of your superannuation. Such assets usually cannot be included in your Will directly.  However, documents can be prepared to control the management of these assets when you no longer can.

There are also a number of options for the protection of your beneficiaries which can be included in your Will.  These include:-

1.     Testamentary trusts, which can give your beneficiaries income tax advantages as well as assist in asset protection; or

2.     Special disability trusts which provide peace of mind that, if any of your beneficiaries have a disability, provision for their future care can be made.

Seniors’ Law @ Rennicks can assist you in creating a trust relevant to your specific circumstances.  Please contact us to discuss your specific needs.
