We have a long established office located near the Camberwell Junction and are now servicing the Geelong region with one of our Partners living in the Surf Coast area. Rennick & Gaynor have a proud history of being able to offer a varied traineeship to ensure that first year solicitors are able to work independently and confidently. The philosophy of our firm is that a trainee is:
- Supported in their role so that they can effectively transfer their learning into day to day practical legal outcomes for clients;
- Exposed to a variety of legal matters to ensure that their practical experience is broad and adaptive to the new legal environment facing solicitors in the 21st century.
- Able to make a meaningful contribution to our firm’s clients by the end of their traineeship period.
If you are studying and would like to commence your career in law you may wish to consider a part-time position with Rennick & Gaynor. We look to employ at least 2 or 3 part-time students subject to our needs.
The types of tasks that are completed by a student are dependant on your years of study but may include some of the following:
- General office tasks such as reception, photocopying, stationery management and collation of documents;
- Research projects as requested by solicitors;
- Compilation of briefs for court or briefing counsel; or
- Library management.
Support or Specialist Staff
At Rennick & Gaynor, our team approach makes the difference. Within a Department there is a range of support roles that can be undertaken that assist with the delivery of quality legal services to our clients. We have a need for a diverse range of support staff from Legal Executives, Law Clerks, Secretary/Personal Assistants, Office Services Clerks, Accounts Clerks, Receptionists and Administration Clerks.
